Located in Bangor, Maine, the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ University School of Occupational Therapy provides an immersive, hands-on learning experience that prepares you for a rewarding career in healthcare. Our OT program offers degrees for each step in your career, including a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) and Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD). Through our rigorous curriculum, you'll learn how to help people overcome obstacles and live a confident, independent life.

What do occupational therapists do?

As an occupational therapist, you’ll help people of all ages gain the skills and confidence they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives in their home, workplace and community. You’ll use problem-solving and creativity to:

  • Help people engage in meaningful activities: what they want to do and what brings meaning to their daily lives.
  • Assist patients and lead them to overcome and adapt to physical and emotional challenges so they can perform and engage in those activities.
