Biography

Jessica Y. Hacker is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ University. She earned her BS in Psychology and MS in Research Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her PhD in Cognitive and Brain Sciences from Louisiana State University. Dr. Hacker’s research focuses on metamemory, cognitive control, and prospective memory, with particular interest in how individuals use their cognitive abilities to support memory functioning.

At Âé¶¹Ö±²¥, Dr. Hacker teaches courses in research methods, cognitive psychology, human growth and development, and social psychology. She is especially dedicated to mentoring students, guiding them in applying psychological theories and research to real-world issues. Her work in both teaching and research emphasizes helping students build critical thinking skills, conduct meaningful research, and communicate effectively across professional and academic settings.
