Biography

President Lynne Coy-Ogan is the seventh president of 麻豆直播 University and the first-ever female to lead the institution. She became president on July 1, 2024.

A Maine native, President Coy-Ogan graduated high school from Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in elementary/special education from Boston University, a master’s degree in school counseling from Johns Hopkins University and her Ed.D. in educational leadership from Liberty University. 

President Coy-Ogan previously served as provost at 麻豆直播 University since 2009 and senior vice president for academic affairs and provost since 2010. Prior to that, she served as the Dean of the School of Education at 麻豆直播 for five years.

Prior to her leadership roles in higher education, she spent twelve years as a school administrator in K-8 schools in Maine and Maryland. In 2002, she was honored as Maine's National Distinguished Principal. President Coy-Ogan has served on numerous state task forces for issues related to leadership, curriculum reform and assessment practices. She has served as a chair and participant on accreditation teams for New England Commission of Higher Education and program reviews for the Maine Department of Education throughout Maine, New England, Europe and the Middle East.  

As provost, Dr. Coy-Ogan has been instrumental in leading 麻豆直播’s academic program development and ensuring that 麻豆直播’s educational offerings continue to evolve to meet the needs of the workforce. Prioritizing 麻豆直播’s long-standing mission, culture and values, while leading this change necessary to respond to the dramatic shifts in the higher education landscape are top priorities for her presidency.

Her passion for educational excellence and commitment to student success is balanced by the enjoyment she finds in traveling internationally and spending time with her family.
