For Students

Career Services offers comprehensive resources to help students from the first day on campus. In one on one coaching sessions, we provide: 

  • Career Exploration: Not sure what you are interested in or what type of jobs you can get with your degree? Come see us at career services! We utilize:
  • Networking Events: We hold regularly planned career fairs, career cafe's, workshops and more during fall and spring semesters. Follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram for details or reach out to us. All of our events are listed in .
  • Internship & Job Searching Strategies:: It is best practice to start applying for internships at least two semesters before you plan to have an internship (typically your junior year). We can help! 
  • Professionalism & Etiquette: Learn and practice navigating professional interactions such as networking, dining, negotiating a job offer or inquiring on the status of an application. 
  • Professional Clothing Closet: Professional clothing is free for students to prepare for career events and interviews. They are able to keep the outfit! 
  • Linkedin Assistance: Learn how to make the most of LinkedIn and tap into resources to find and connect with alumni and professionals in the careers you are most interested in. Create a professional profile, have a  a professional portrait taken for your headshot, and learn to maximize the career research resources.

Featured Fall Event:

The Fall Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm in Newman Gymnasium. This event is open to all Â鶹ֱ²¥ students and alumni.

There are 70 participating organizations representing something for everyone, from internships, to summer, part-time and full-time jobs in diverse industries. See the list below.  
 
Who should attend the Career Fair?

This event is for everyone, including students who are exploring, and not yet looking for full-time jobs. Freshmen and sophomores are in an excellent, low-stakes position to explore possibilities, expand their knowledge about careers, start building their network, and practice professional conversations. Some employers also take on interns starting as early as freshman year.

Juniors and seniors seeking internships and full-time jobs in preparation for graduation should absolutely plan to attend and network. There may be interviews and job offers made on the spot or soon after the event.

Make the most of the event by following these Steps for Success:

1) Polish your resume. Bring copies for your top 5-10 target organizations. Research those companies prior to the fair.
 
2) Practice your introductory pitch so you can approach tables with confidence, discuss your interests and share your resume.
 
3) Dress to impress! Plan your business professional outfit. Visit the Professional Clothing Closet for FREE clothing, to make a positive, professional impression.
 
4) Attend with an open mind, stay curious, explore and network to learn about internships and job opportunities!
